||Day 3 in Western Australia and the weather and surf still aren't cooperating. After hours of driving and searching for waves, the crew discovers what they think is a small inside riptide. Andy finds himself back out in the lineup, and along with Pat and Occy, tries to surf waves that are 3x the size they had originally estimated, while Shane and Donavon decide to wait-out the session and do a little sandboarding down the beach's dunes. Benji finds a great peak and has his first stand-out session of the trip, while everyone else struggles to get to their feet and avoid being pulled into the middle of the ocean by the riptide. With motivation winding down, the crew finds time to break-away from the surf and have the first golf challenge in Drive Thru history. (Lucky for everyone, they don't have to rely on their golf game to make a living.)
Later, the crew finds themselves back at the "shark spot" from the previous episode, where the surf was overhead. The session proved to be the best of the trip thus far... until a great white was spotted heading toward the crew in a BIG HURRY. Occy, who's surfed Western OZ over 50x times, gathered everyone together as a means to scare the shark and get the group out safely. Everyone was out -- except Pat -- who stayed in the lineup for another wave, thinking Occy was just playing a practical joke. But the punchline could be a painful one for Pat if he doesn't find his way to the shore quickly...
