Hainan is a small subtropical island in the South China Sea with incredible surfing waves between November and March, and a vibrant, growing local surf scene. Sam first visited Hainan in 2003. Further, Sam explores the relationship between surfing and dance with local standout longboarders Monica Guo and Darci Lui, and interviews. The viewer is left with a completely new awareness of the beauty of coastal China, the growing beach culture and vast potential for surfing.
